It is with profound sadness that AIDA World announces the passing of Professor Jérôme Kullmann on 18 October 2026. He was a highly respected scholar, a distinguished leader, and a cherished member of the international insurance law community.
Professor Kullmann dedicated much of his professional life to advancing insurance law, making an extraordinary contribution to both the French and international legal communities.
He served as President of AIDA World from 2014 to 2018, having previously served as Vice-President from 2010 to 2014. He had also been President of the French Chapter of AIDA since 2004. His leadership, commitment, and vision played an essential role in strengthening international cooperation and promoting the development of insurance law worldwide.
Beyond his professional achievements, Professor Kullmann will be remembered for his wisdom, generosity, intellectual brilliance, and unwavering dedication to the AIDA community. His contributions and the relationships he built throughout the world leave an enduring legacy.
