An international symposium and Call for Papers and a conference both held at Koç University, Istanbul have been announced.

Papers are welcomed from Ph.D candidates and scholars who have received their Ph.Ds in the last 10 years for discussion at an international symposium entitled  "Contextualising Insurance Contracts: Interactions with Various Fields of Law". It is to be held on Thursday 28 May 2020 at Koç University in Istanbul.

This is designed to attract insurance law scholars, as well as those working in other fields of law who research on the interactions between their field and insurance contracts. Insurance contracts will be considered from an holistic point of view not confined to the boundaries of the principles of insurance contract law.

This is the second symposium of the Jean Monnet Module project currently run by AIDA Presidential Councillor, Asst. Prof. Ayşegül Buğra, from whom further details may be obtained (abugra@ku.edu.tr).  It is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

Prof. Dr Helmut Heiss (AIDA Switzerland) will be acting as the keynote speaker of the symposium which will be followed on the 29 May 2020 by the conference of the European Law Institute's Special Interest Group (SIG) on Insurance Law entitled "Sustainability in Insurance Law: Roles and Responsibilities of Insurance Companies in the Light of Climate Change".
