THE GROWING CHALLENGE OF MEETING CUSTOMER NEEDS:  QUO VADIS, INSURANCE MARKET?

More than 220 lawyers and professionals gathered in Athens from around the world met to consider how a transforming insurance market might better meet its diverse customer needs and the legal challenges presented.

Discussions addressed how insurance products are evolving in response to environmental, geopolitical, social and regulatory challenges. Upon how and whether these products can help clients meet their ESG obligations and other compliance requirements.

Another major theme was the impact of innovation in insurance distribution. Attendees explored whether current regulations are suitable for new distribution models and how customer experiences might be enhanced.

Additionally, how potential synergies between private insurance and the public sector, particularly in health and natural catastrophe management, might operate in response to the universally recognised need to strengthen and rationalize safeguards and costs.

Break-out meetings were staged by all twelve of AIDA’s International Working Parties and the event was joined by many members of AIDA’s Presidential Council who conducted meetings in Athens the previous day.
