Presidential Council
The Council of Presidency of the CILA plays an advisory role.
It is composed of the President and the Vice President of the CILA, by the former Presidents of the CILA and by councilors, elected in the same Assembly that elects the President of the CILA, from among the members of the Council or the Directive Commission of the National Sections that compose the CILA.
There are election rules for non-permanent members, that is, they do not integrate in their own right the Presidency Council.
According to these, among other requirements can not be members of the Presidential Council people who have not performed or can not prove the development of academic and / or executive activities in the field of CILA for a minimum of three years.
The decisions of the Council are made by simple majority of the members present, the President having a double vote in the event of a tie.
The Presidency Council must meet face-to-face during the Ibero- Latin American Congresses of Insurance Law of CILA, which are held every two years, and at the time of the AIDA World Congresses.

Consejo de Presidencia del CILA
El Consejo de Presidencia del CILA desempeña un rol consultivo.
Está integrado por el Presidente y el Vicepresidente del CILA, por los ex Presidentes del CILA y por consejeros, elegidos en la misma Asamblea que elige al Presidente del CILA, de entre miembros del Consejo o Comisión Directiva de las Secciones Nacionales que integran el CILA.
Existen reglas de elecciones para los miembros no permanentes, o sea que no integran por derecho propio el Consejo de Presidencia.
De acuerdo a estas, entre otros requisitos no pueden ser miembros del Consejo de Presidencia personas que no hayan desempeñado o no puedan acreditar el desarrollo de actividades académicas y/o ejecutivas en el ámbito de CILA durante un mínimo de tres años.
Las decisiones del Consejo se toman por mayoría simple de los miembros presentes, teniendo el Presidente doble voto en caso de empate.
El Consejo de Presidencia debe reunirse en forma presencial durante los Congresos Ibero Latinoamericanos de Derecho de Seguros de CILA, que se celebran cada dos años, y en oportunidad de los Congresos Mundiales de AIDA.
Los miembros del Consejo de Presidencia, salvo los que lo integran en forma permanente por derecho propio, son elegidos por la Asamblea General del CILA en la misma ocasión en que se elige al Presidente.
